MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The Auburn Montgomery men's soccer team continues its quest towards a national title at 6:30 p.m. tonight against MidAmerica Nazarene in the quarterfinals of the Men's Soccer National Championship.
The match will take place at the Emory Folmar YMCA Complex. General admission tickets are $8, and student tickets are $3. AUM students, however, can receive free admission if they bring the attached coupon with their student ID (click here).
The game, along with the other three quarterfinal matchups, will also be streamed live on the Internet for a single day fee of $9.95. For more information, click here.
AUM enters tonight's match with a record of 18-3-2. The second-seeded Warhawks defeated Jamestown College 3-2 in the second round for their sixth straight victory.
Agust Arnarson scored the game-winning goal, and he leads the team with 16 goals. Elvar Sigurdsson added two first half goals, and he has 12 for the season.
MidAmerica Nazarene, the seventh seed overall in the tournament, advanced on PKs over Olivet Nazarene last night after playing to a scoreless tie in regulation. The Pioneers (12-1-9) lost to Oklahoma Baptist in the first round, but advanced after it was revealed that the Bison played with an ineligible player.
The winner of tonight's matchup advances to the semifinals at 2:30 p.m. on Friday against either No. 3 seed Concordia (Calif.) or 11th-seeded Mobile.
