SKILLMAN, N.J. ---- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently released its national individual singles and doubles rankings for the NAIA, with several members of the Auburn Montgomery teams receiving top 10 recognition.

Five Warhawks are ranked in the top 10, highlighted by No. 1 rankings for Tiffany William in women's singles and the men's doubles team of Nicolas Pinones-Haltenhoff and Tim Hewitt.

"I'm really happy for the players," Head Coach Rolando Vargas said. "It is a reward for the hard work that they are putting in every day at practice. This is just an extra incentive to motivate us for the season. We're looking forward to getting started."

William is joined in the singles rankings by Jade Curtis (No. 5) and Morgane Zowczak (No. 9). Curtis and Zowczak are listed as the No. 3 doubles team in the nation.

The tandem of Zinelabidine Jouini and Othmane Lalami (No. 12) join Pinones-Haltenhoff and Hewitt in the men's national doubles rankings. In singles, Pinones-Haltenhoff is ranked second, just behind Patrick Besch from Embry-Riddle. Hewitt is also in the top 10, currently ranking as the No. 6 singles player.

Lalami (No. 16) and Jouini (No. 33) are also listed in the rankings, which include the top 50 NAIA players.

ITA rankings are updated four times during the 2012-13 season. The next list will be released on March 13. Preseason NAIA team rankings will be released on Jan. 29.

AUM tennis had a highly successful fall season. The Warhawks swept the singles and doubles titles at the ITA South Regional Championships. At Nationals, William and Pinones-Haltenhoff/Hewitt each captured titles and advanced to the finals of the Small College Super Bowl.

The spring season begins for both the men's and women's teams on Feb. 1 at Emmanuel.
