KANSAS CITY, Mo. ---- The NAIA released its fourth Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll today, with Auburn Montgomery dropping three spots to No. 21 after losing its only game of the week.

The Warhawks (13-4) fell 65-58 at home to No. 24 Faulkner, losing their first Southern States Athletic Conference game of the season. AUM remains in first place in the SSAC West with a 6-1 conference record.

SSAC member Lee is also in the poll at No. 6, while Coastal Georgia is among the schools receiving votes.

Vanguard takes over the No. 1 spot after a 2-0 week. The Lions (11-0) are one of two remaining undefeated teams in the NAIA, along with No. 8 The Master's (15-0). Former No. 1 Lubbock Christian drops to No. 2 after losing its first game of the season to No. 4 Oklahoma City.

Freed-Hardeman (No. 3) and Westminster (No. 5) make up the rest of the top five.

AUM received 100 points in the poll. The Warhawks continue to rank as one of the top defensive teams in the country, as the team is 19th in scoring defense (limiting opponents to 55.9 points per game) and 3-point defense (holding teams to 26.4 percent shooting from long distance).

The Warhawks travel to Spring Hill (7-10, 4-4) on Thursday before returning to the AUM Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon against Belhaven (7-10, 4-3). Saturday's game starts at 2 p.m., and the first 150 AUM students to arrive (with ID) will receive a free Warhawks Sixth Man t-shirt.
