MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's soccer team dropped its home finale on Tuesday, 4-1, to Southern States Athletic Conference foe Mobile at the AUM Soccer Complex.

With the loss, the Senators fell to 6-9-2 on the season and 0-4 in SSAC play, while the Rams improved to 11-3-2 overall and 1-1 in league matches.

Mobile opened up a 2-0 lead just 16:13 into the match, after Deshorn Brown and Stephen Okai each scored goals to put the Senators in an early hole. In addition to facing a steep deficit, the Senators were also forced to play with just 10 players after a red card set up the penalty kick by Okai in the 17th minute.

The Rams added a third goal in the first half, a strike by Sam Blackburn off a pass from Brown, and took a 3-0 lead to halftime.

Brown added a second goal in the match at the 52:26 mark of the contest to complete the scoring for Mobile.

AUM avoided the shutout in the 56th minute when sophomore Tornubari Nyonebue line a laser past goalkeeper Jason Williams for his team-leading sixth goal of the season.

For the contest, Mobile held a 14-7 advantage in total shots, with only Nyonebue tallying more than one shot for the Senators. Brown and Kyle Kimbrell each had three shots for the Rams.

In goal, junior Steve Keller recorded three saves, but took the loss, while Williams needed to stop just two shots in the win.

AUM will look to rebound on Saturday, when it concludes its season at Faulkner at 5 p.m.
