MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- Auburn Montgomery junior Jade Curtis earned Southern States Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors yesterday after a 3-0 week in both singles and doubles against three top-20 teams from NCAA Division II.
The Saltash, England, native won her 50th straight singles match in team competitions with a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (14-12) victory over Barry's Emma Onila last Thursday. She then extended that streak with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Elissa DeCampli from Rollins on Friday.
