KANSAS CITY, Mo. ---- The NAIA released the official seeds and bracket for the 2013 Softball National Championship final site earlier tonight, with Auburn Montgomery listed as the seventh seed for the double-elimination 10-team tournament.
The Warhawks (44-10) will play 10th-seeded Spring Hill at 9 a.m. next Friday to start the event. The Badgers (45-15) were the only two seed from the Opening Round to advance, defeating top-seeded USC-Beaufort twice on Wednesday to earn their spot in Columbus.
Three more games will follow AUM and Spring Hill on Friday, with the top two seeds receiving a bye until Saturday. The winner of AUM's game will face second-seeded Lubbock Christian at 3 p.m. Saturday, while the loser of No. 3 Lee and No. 6 Williams Baptist at Noon on Saturday.
The full bracket can be viewed here, while the full schedule can be seen here. Top-seeded Concordia (Calif.), Oklahoma City, Cal State San Marcos, Reinhardt and Saint Xavier make up the rest of the 10-team field.
AUM went 3-0 in the Lindsey Wilson bracket of the Opening Round to move on to Columbus. The tournament will take place from May 24-30, with teams receiving a day off on May 26.
The Warhawks are 3-2 against Spring Hill this season, with the Badgers winning the most recent matchup by a 3-0 score at the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament.
