GAINESVILLE, Ga. ----- The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team dropped a disappointing Southern States Athletic Conference match to No. 20 Brenau on Saturday, falling 1-0 in the contest.

With the loss, the Warhawks fell to 7-4 on the season and 3-2 in league play. The Golden Tigers improved to 7-3-1 overall and are now 4-1 in conference matches.

The difference in the match came in the 68th minute, when Esther Anyanwu scored an unassisted goal to lead Brenau to the victory.

AUM managed just four shots against Brenau's defensive unit. Senior Alexandra Sveinsdottir, Maren Heller and Arna Omarsdottir, as well as freshman Brady Glenn, each attempted one shots, with Sveinsdottir's being the only on target.

Senior Holly Clark was solid in goal, posting two saves against 16 shots, despite allowing the one goal. Tori Brown stopped just one save in the shutout victory for the Golden Tigers.

AUM will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12, when it hosts No. 3 Lindsey Wilson at 3 p.m.
