MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- Auburn University at Montgomery cheerleading coaches Joel Hughes and Amanda Brasington are seeking interested individuals for the 2012-13 Co-Ed Warhawks' Cheerleading squad. Tryouts will be held from Friday, April 27, 2012 to Sunday, April 29, 2012 in the AUM Physical Education Complex Gymnasium.

The current squad features eight females, but the hope is to have a co-ed team next season. If there are not enough males to create a co-ed squad, an all-girl squad will be selected.

In order to participate in the tryout, individuals must be a full-time student enrolled at AUM and must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Freshmen or transfer students must have been accepted to AUM by the first day of tryout clinics and must bring their letter of acceptance in order to tryout.

Required information to bring to the tryout include: a physical form, photo copy of your insurance card and $20 cash or check (made payable to AUM Cheerleading). Freshmen or transfer students must also have their acceptance letter to AUM. All of these must be submitted on the first day of tryout clinics. All tryouts are closed to the public.

Friday, April 27 (please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you have the necessary paperwork)
6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. - Clinic

Saturday, April 28
8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Clinic
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Lunch
1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Clinic/Mock Tryouts

Sunday, April 29
8:30 a.m. to Noon - Closed Tryouts
1 p.m. - Announcement of AUM Cheerleading Squad
