AUM's Caitie Cunningham was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- Auburn University at Montgomery junior forward Cailtin Cunningham was named to the Capital One Academic All-District II Womenfs Basketball First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Tuesday.
Cunningham and the other first-team selections will now advance to the Capital One Academic All]America Team ballot, where first], second] and third]team All]America honorees will be announced later this month.

Cunningham is averaging 4.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game this season. Of her 90 rebounds on the season, 39 have come on the offensive end, a mark which ranks tied for second on the team. She also leads the team in field goal percentage, converting 65.1 percent of her shots from the floor. On three occasions this season, Cunningham has scored in double figures, including a season-best 15 points against Concordia-Selma. She has grabbed a season-high nine rebounds twice.
Several other student-athletes from the Southern States Athletic Conference were also recognized on all-district teams. Joining Cunningham on the District II First-Team were Shorterfs Kelly Ellison, Brittany Smith, Allison Danner and Lindsey Crawford.
Cunningham, a native of Winchester, Tenn., is majoring in elementary education and currently sports a 3.41 cumulative grade point average.
