ATLANTA ----- The No. 1 Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team remained undefeated on the season, rolling past Emory 6-3 Sunday at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.

The Warhawks improved to 3-0 on the year with the victory, while the Lady Eagles, the No. 3 team in NCAA Division III, fell to 0-1.

After forfeiting the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles match, AUM cruised in six of the remaining seven matches.

In doubles, Ana Veselinovic and Jade Curtis teamed to win a the No. 1 position, 8-6, while Tiffany William and Kveta Hajkova won easily at the No. 2 spot, 8-3.

Veslinovic, Curtis, William and Hajkova each won in straight sets in singles play, while Hagar Caro retired at the No. 5 position for the Warhawks to give the Lady Eagles their only other point.

AUM will return to action Friday, Feb. 17, when it opens the home portion of its schedule by hosting Jacksonville State. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
