MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- Da'Keidres Wade scored a career-best 12 points, but the Auburn University at Montgomery could not withstand a 19-5 run late in the second period as Faulkner defeated the Warhawks, 66-54, Saturday at Tine Davis Gymnasium.

Marquez Brooks also scored in double figures, adding 11 points for AUM. Alex Hergott finished with eight points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Wade added six rebounds in the loss.

For the game, the Warhawks converted 20-of-45 shots (44.4 percent0 from the floor, but hit just 5-of-20 3-point attempts. AUM also struggled from the free throw line, hitting just 56.3 percent, and committed 22 turnovers. The Eagles also shot 44.4 percent from the field, but made four more field goals and two additional free throws.

On the glass, Faulkner held a 30-27 advantage, including an 11-7 lead in offensive rebounds. Adam Okechukwu led the Eagles with eight rebounds and added 10 points. Chris Palmore scored a game-high 23 points for Faulkner.

With the loss, the Warhawks end their season with a 5-23 record and 2-16 in Southern States Athletic Conference play. The Eagles improved to 16-12 overall and 9-9 in conference games.

The contest also marked the final collegiate game for AUM standouts, Hergott, Michael Lee and Stephen Jordan.
