The Warhawks won four of five games in the Arctic Blast Tournament this weekend.

DECATUR, Ala. ----- The No. 13 Auburn University at Montgomery softball team won two of its three games on the final day of the Alabama Arctic Blast Tournament, hosted by Shorter University.
The Warhawks (6-3) fell to Lindsey Wilson, 2-0, in their opening game of the day before defeating Indiana University Southeast, 7-2, and Bryan College, 11-0, to conclude the tournament.
Against the Blue Raiders (8-1), Brandi Richards tossed her third complete game of the season, allowing just four hits and striking out nine.
Haley Johnson finished with a double, while Sarah Suggs and Jyssica Pepper also added hits.
Kristina Krupinski earned the victory for Lindsey Wilson, tossing a complete game and allowing three hits. Jamie Williams had a pair of runs batted in for the Blue Raiders.
In game two of the day, AUM rallied to score six times in the final two innings and erased an early deficit against IUS (3-5).
Richards drove in a pair of runs, while Suggs and Kendall Thomas each added RBIs. Pepper walked three times, scoring three runs.
Johnson (2-0) picked up the win in relief of Cassie Daniels. Johnson scattered two hits over the final 2 1/3 innings, while Daniels struck out six in 4 2/3 innings pitched.
In the finale of the tournament, Courtney Baker scattered two hits over 5.0 scoreless innings to improve to 2-0 on the season. Baker struck out six and did not issue a walk in the victory.
Richards provided the offense with three RBIs, while Suggs, Thomas and Shea Driggers each added two runs batted in.
AUM will return to action on Friday, March 2, when it opens the NFCA Leadoff Classic by taking on Martin Methodist at 2:30 p.m.
