MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The Auburn University at Montgomery athletics department has announced its Diamond Girls for the 2012 season.

This year's group consists of 12 members: Raven Flomer (Junior/Wetumpka, Ala./Human Resource Management), Ashley Ivey (Junior/Montgomery, Ala./Nursing), Marina Janes (Freshman/Millbrook, Ala./Pre-Vet), Sarah McLemore (Sophomore/Wetumpka, Ala./Biology), Shannon Mobley (Sophomore/Prattville, Ala./Exercise Science), Kate Mrozinski (Sophomore/Millbrook, Ala./Communications), Kalyn Shannon (Sophomore/Clanton, Ala./Early Childhood Special Education), Sarah Sharker (Sophomore/Montgomery, Ala./Social Word), Courtney Singleton (Junior/Montgomery, Ala./Mass Communication), Jessica Smith (Freshman/Vandiver, Ala./Pre-Law), Lauren Stephens (Sophomore/Montgomery, Ala./Nursing) and Nichole Williams (Sophomore/Live Oak, Fla./Visual Arts).

The support group is coordinated by Communications Instructor Erin Looney and is designed to provide an additional element of game management for home baseball games. Officers for the group include Williams (President), Ivey (Vice President), Smith (Treasurer), Stephens (Secretary) and Singleton (PR Specialist).

Criteria for the group includes being full-time AUM student, maintaining a 2.0 or better GPA and possessing a will to support the baseball program through game promotion, working the games, and participating in community service projects.
