Hagar Caro won both her singles and doubles match against Vanguard

MOBILE, Ala. ----- The top-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team defeated No. 16 Vanguard, 5-0, Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championships, held at the Mobile Tennis Complex.

AUM took control of the match from the start, taking all three doubles points to race out to a 3-0 lead.

The duo of Ana Veselinovic and Jade Curtis rolled at the top spot, 8-4, while Tiffany William and Hagar Caro picked up an 8-6 victory at the No. 2 position. Morgane Zowczak and Kveta Hajkova completed the sweep with an 8-0 shutout at the third spot.

Needing just two points to secure the match, Hajkova won easily at the No. 5 position, 6-0, 6-0, over Petronella Lindahl, while Caro capped the match with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at the No. 6 spot.

With the win, the Warhawks (23-2) advanced to take on No. 8 Concordia (Calif.) Thursday at 9 a.m. The loss ends Vanguard's season at 10-15.
