KANSAS CITY, Mo. ----- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's soccer team slipped three spots to No. 6 in the sixth regular-season edition of the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.

The Warhawks (9-2-1) finished the week with a 1-1 record, dropping only its second decision of the year to current-No. 19 Mobile. AUM bounced back with a shutout victory against Georgia Gwinnett, a squad with a 7-2-1 mark on the season.

Rio Grande (Ohio) held onto the top spot in the poll, earning 560 points and all 20 first-place votes. Defending national champions Lindsey Wilson was second, just 18 points behind, while Science & Arts (Okla.) jumped to No. 3 in the rankings. Concordia (Calif.) also moved up two spots to No. 4, while Belhaven rounded out the top five with 478 points.

AUM, one of a nation-high five Southern States Athletic Conference teams ranked, trailed the Blazers by only eight points. Joining the Blazers and Warhawks in the poll was No. 10 Southern Poly, No. 15 Southern Wesleyan and Mobile.

The biggest mover in the poll was Thomas (Ga.), who moved up five spots to No. 17. Robert Morris (Ill.) suffered the largest fall, dropping 10 spots to No. 25.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conference/independents/unaffiliated groups. The seventh regular-season poll will be announced on Oct. 16.
