KANSAS CITY, Mo. ---- The NAIA released its second of three Modified Ratings Percentage Index rankings for the 2012 season earlier today, and the Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team is ranked 18th.

The MRPI was introduced in 2010 to help determine seeding and at-large bids for the postseason NAIA National Tournament. It ranks teams through their modified winning percentage, their opponents' winning percentage and the cumulative ranking points from the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Warhawks have an MRPI of 0.660. Every women's soccer team in the NAIA (a total of 193) is ranked in the index.

Lindsey Wilson, which AUM faces to close out its regular season next Tuesday, claimed the No. 1 spot with a MRPI of 0.932. Lee, ranked No. 1 in the most recent NAIA Top 25 poll, was close behind at 0.910, while Concordia is third.

AUM is one of four Southern States Athletic Conference members ranked in the top 20 of the index, joining Lee, Mobile (sixth) and William Carey (eighth).

The Warhawks broke a five game winless streak earlier today with a 5-0 victory over Belhaven. The team now has a record of 10-4-2 (5-4-1 SSAC).

The final MRPI index will be released on Nov. 11. AUM returns to action against Faulkner at the Emory Folmar Complex. The match begins at 5 p.m.
